REFUND & CANCELLATION POLICY

1. Scope
This Refund & Cancellation Policy applies to all SaaS subscription services purchased through the Megin platform (www.megin.ai). Megin is a digital software service — no physical products are sold.
2. 14-Day Cooling-Off Period
Your Right to Cancel
You may cancel your subscription within 14 days of purchase for any reason and receive a full refund, regardless of usage.
To exercise your cooling-off right, send a cancellation request to info@megin.ai with your name, registered email, and cancellation request. The refund will be processed within 14 days of receiving your request.
3. Pro-Rata Refunds (After 14 Days)
Fair Refund Policy
After the 14-day cooling-off period, if you cancel your subscription, you are entitled to a pro-rata refund for the unused portion of your subscription period.
The refund amount is calculated as follows:
- Monthly example: $30 paid on March 1, cancelled on March 11 → Used: 10 days, Remaining: 20 days → Refund: $30 x (20/30) = $20
- Annual example: $240 paid on Jan 1, cancelled on April 1 → Used: 90 days, Remaining: 275 days → Refund: $240 x (275/365) ≈ $181
4. Subscription Cancellation
You can cancel your subscription at any time through:
- Platform: Settings → Subscription → Cancel
- Email: info@megin.ai
After cancellation, your account is automatically downgraded to the Free plan at the end of the current billing period. Your data is not deleted — you retain view-only access. Upgrading again restores full access.
5. Auto-Renewal
Subscriptions auto-renew at the end of each billing period. A reminder email is sent at least 3 days before the renewal date. Cancel before the renewal date to prevent charges. Post-renewal refund requests follow the pro-rata policy above.
6. Megin-Caused Service Issues
We provide refunds in the following situations:
- Extended downtime: If unplanned downtime exceeds 72 hours in a calendar month, the full month's subscription fee is refunded.
- Service discontinuation: If Megin permanently shuts down, users receive at least 60 days' notice and a refund for the unused period.
- Billing errors: Duplicate or incorrect charges are refunded within 5 business days.
7. Non-Refundable Situations
- Accounts terminated for Terms of Service violations (fraud, abuse, illegal activity).
- Accounts created with false or misleading information.
- Fully consumed subscription periods.
- Force majeure events beyond Megin's control (natural disasters, pandemics, infrastructure provider outages).
8. Refund Process & Timeline
- Step 1: Email info@megin.ai with your name, registered email, reason for refund, and payment details.
- Step 2: Your request is reviewed within 3 business days.
- Step 3: Approved refunds are returned to the original payment method — credit cards: 3–7 business days, debit cards: 7–14 business days.
9. Dispute Resolution
For refund disputes, please contact us directly at info@megin.ai first. If unresolved, disputes are handled by Consumer Arbitration Committees (within monetary limits) and Antalya Consumer Courts.
